August is like the Sunday of summer.

As a former teacher, I always hated to see August (or Sundays) arrive knowing September (or Mondays), autumn and back-to-work was knocking at the door.  It was a carry-over from when I was a child and thought that I dreaded going back to school. Really I was beyond excited to see my friends again, plan my outfits and get back into the rhythm of the school year.

My mantra this summer, both personally and professionally, is simple...

"Close your eyes & feel the summer breeze."

Here's Vignette, and me, doing just that!

This is what I see when I close my eyes:

the berries of summer

Fleur du Jour of Leominster

Washington, DC silliness

Taco Surf in San Diego

Torrey Pines State Park & arthritic joints

DelMar Race Track & $8 win

A great woman standing behind a good man

Alice Water's Chez Panisse in Berkeley CA

Brother Pete's live work portfolio

September is gearing up to be a very busy month. Grand openings (I'll keep you posted), new advertising, styling work locally & beyond plus all the great things that happen in September! (Check out October 2015 blog post for some kick butt cider donut photos ') )
