The merry month of May...

Vignette's blog post is intended to be weekly not monthly but some month's just leave no room for writing.  Let's work backwards...

Memorial Day brought the planting of flowers, flags and a sense of gratitude for our country and its brave souls.  Some extra days off included searching for antiques and ideas for decorating but not before food consumption.

The end of May also brought my best sales figure to date at Counting Sheep Antiques in Berlin, Mass.  I am beginning to get a feel for what customers are looking for and also a bit more fearless about trying new ideas.  Take a peek...

You may have caught on to the idea that I'm "branching out" (pun intended!) to food and florals. Vignette Home Baked was an experiment in coffee and baked goods which hopefully will return in the fall months.  Vignette Home Florals has made its entrance the last few days of May, by accident. I started experimenting with my husband, Leo's, weathered gray boxes and fresh flowers in oasis.  I'm doing flowers for an upcoming wedding at the end of June. What do you think??

These floral boxes and fresh-cut flowers in ball jars are available at Counting Sheep Antiques and  you can also order them directly from me via email (Contact Us page).  The passion in creating them is incredible :-O

I would love to hear what you're working on in your home to welcome the summer months and change the feel of your home to a more relaxed and care-free time.  Whether you're at the beach in a cottage, at the shore in a rental, in the woods in a camper or at home on your deck, the time in your own space is WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS...how you begin your day, move through your world and connect with your universe. Am I overstating??? I think not.
