This is my first entry as a Mainer. I have left the place I called home most of my life…the place I had a family, worked, had a business, taught school, went to church, loved my life. But was called, during the onset of retirement and after losing my mom, to relocate to the town of Wiscasset…the prettiest little village in Maine. I volunteer at the library and share Story Hour every Friday. I am a member at The Wiscasset Community Center, swimming three times a week, I have worked making sandwiches at Treats on Main Street, right up from Red’s Eats. I belong to the Women’s Charitable Society, providing help to women in need. And now I will be a member of The Friends of Wiscasset. It’s a wonderful life. Really.
